Post by: ChrisB on July 24, 2015, 08:56:07 PM
I got this as Clematis sp. when in the Czech Republic 2 years ago. Just had it identified as C. aethusifolia

Don't know why, but the resizing has turned image sideways  ???

edit by maggi -  I'll fix it for you, Christine - this happens from time to time.

This topic I encountered and placed my clematis marmoraria here.
He is very sheltered in the three-meter trough. Grows a few mm a year. Fall 2014 planted and this summer the first two flowers. The photo with flowers is not so good. The photo 2 now taken. The whole 3 meter trough gets a shelter during the winter, and this little plant during frost some bubble plastic.

I want to add another rare clematis if that is possible. The C. acerifolia. Found in China in rock crevices. And it is being tried to maintain the species. By spreading seeds to specialized growers around the world. Ton Hannink is such clematis grower. From him I got one. With me he went well after losing a few leaves. Last picture, no flowers yet. (are white)
