Hi,

P. Kelut (P. Marion Johnson x P. Mageik) Flowers vary from almost purple to reddish mauve with red or yellow markings on the lips.
P. Marion Johnson ‘Oxpecker’ Dark reddish mauve flowers. The lip ir orange brown with red spots and yellow keels.
P. Sinope (P. scopulorum x P. chunii) Dainty pale lavender flowers with dark lavender or brown spots on the lip. Only makes
small pseudo-bulbs. Sorry no picture yet.
P. Whakari ‘Dusky Sunbird’ Reddish purple flowers with dark orange brown lips and yellow keels.
Pictures not too great but enjoy :) :) :)
By the way, Ian Butterfield is exhibiting at the Malvern Spring Festival from tomorrow 7th May 2015 to Sunday inclusive. He reckons this may be his last show, so if you want to see his brilliant display and chat to him, here is your chance. It takes place in the 3 Counties showground, WR13 6NW. I'll be there tomorrow, there may be just the one or half a dozen pleiones I haven't got yet. ;) ;) ;)

Maren, thanks for news of Ian's list.
Sorry to hear Ian Butterfield might be giving up showing - I know how much pleasure people get from seeing his displays. Will you please pass on good wishes to him on our behalf ?
-
Won't be there till Sunday. Hope there are some left :P

Maggi, thank you and also for your good wishes to Ian. I shall certainly pass them on. He is always a little bemused when I tell him about the SRGC forum and all the interesting conversations and pictures of pleiones one can find there. As he doesn't have a computer, all of this is in a different world. But I am sure he will be pleased.

Oh great! Just when you've decided the greenhouse is full and you must stop buying Pleiones, along comes THE catalogue. Don't know about kid in a sweet shop, it is like the sweet shop coming to your front room.
Now let's see. I'll have that one, and that one, and that one. ;D ;D
And that one!

That's alright, Steve, they are only little. ;D ;D ;D

Hello Maren
Here are pictures of Pleione Sinope, wich I recieved from Ian Butterfield as a pressent 2 years ago.
Very nice high held flower that flowers very late. This year it has not flowered yet, and it will be another 2-3 weeks before it happens.
Regards Erling

Thank you Erling, I'm so glad you posted this. I have one of these but the label got lost. This really helps. :) :) :)

Hi ,
I visited Ian yesterday there were some very promising young plants to be seen. His P. praecox have buds and it won't be long before they flower. Watch this space. :) :) :)
