That's a most interesting selection, Giles- colourful too. I had no idea an "oak-leaved hose in hose" primula existed. One of today's more intriguing lessons, thank you!

used to be 40 minutes for me but then they put all those stupid speed cameras up on the M42 - could have done with going today I normally miss this one and end up at the auricula show later

I seem to remember from my days as a NAPS member that there was a lady called Margaret Webster who had spent 15/20 years researching various mutant primroses and eventually gained a Doctorate from that research. I think she actually brought the hose-in-hose oak leaf strains into cultivation.
