Still quite a few drops still looking good here, though early ones are past - but look at this picture I just got from Nova Scotia - it'll be AGES until their snowdrop season starts - you can still enjoy that ... :D

To extend the flowering period I might be tempted to search for Galanthus Elwesii. That would bring a sence of spring much earlier in my garden.
-
François, there are many forms of both elwesii and plicatus that flower early but you need to pick the right cultivars.
-
Thanks for the tip Alan. Just need to make up my mind once I see what's available which one(s) I would like to have growing in my garden.

Well here you are Emma, this is 'Neckless Wonder' and 'La Bohème', as you can see it was a lovely afternoon and I took these on my iPad. David may well post better pictures later. There is the faintest hint of green on the inside of the tepal rather than the outside, it was delightful :D
-
Yep want a 'Neckless Wonder' !

What lovely dreams you must have Leena :)
Yes, :) and who knows maybe some day dreams come true.
-
Love 'Neckless Wonder' too I foresee lots of purse strings being
broken next year and lots of fun being had in the search. for the elusive plant. Memories to be made and shared!
On a more serious note I would like see a calming among growers and buyers, without taking out the fun
Ah well back to the dreaming, it's not too long ago when a snowdrop was nivalis, how things have changed Happy growing everyone :)

Thanks for opening my eyes to new cultivars,Brian and David. :).I have to say ' La Boheme ' is a real cracker.I would like to see 'Necklass Wonder' after a down pour of rain ,It looks like a rain gauge to me. :(. Probably a better name . ;D.
