My favourite Streptocarpus
Streptocarpus polyanthos grown from Chiltern seed more than 10 years ago. I took one home with me when I retired. Chiltern had a selection of Streptocarpus and Lachenalia seed about 12 or 15 years ago.

That is a corker, Roma - leaf the size of a small planet and that soft beautiful colour of the flower - lovely!

Just measured the leaf. It is about 7and1/2 inches by 14. I have not known it produce seed even when I had 3 or 4 plants at work. It does produce more than one leaf so is not monocarpic.
I once grew Streptocarpus cooperi which had an even bigger leaf. It only grew one leaf which died after flowering but produced lots of seed and seedlings would come up in the gravel under the bench so kept it going for a few years.

Got some wild collected Steptocarpus dunnii seed from AGS seed exchange last year.
The first picture was taken in August last year and the second this month. They have really grown this year.
