Title: Early flowering narcissus ID ?
Post by: John85 on January 29, 2015, 01:40:41 PM
A few days ago in a park I saw a narcissus looking very much like Rijnveld Early Sensation but larger in all his parts.
Any idea what it could be?
I guess it came from the Netherlands as part of a purchase by the park departement of the local council.

John, by RES, Anne means 'Rijnveld Early Sensation', I think.

Thank you Maggi ! Of course!
But that cv is much earlier here:end december begin january and the size is more or less 35 -  40 cm
the unknown one : 60cm
Could it be that such a difference could be explained only by the fertility of the soil and the size of the bulb?
Seems a bit too much.Or am I wrong?

Sorry, John. I'm used to abbreviating it to put on labels. As t grows here it's about 45cm tall. If the bulbs were fat, newly planted ones, they might be extra big for a year.
