Title: Galtonia to ID ?
Post by: Maggi Young on January 04, 2015, 10:50:47 AM
Gordon Julian in Tasmania is having some problems to access the forum right now, so I'm posting this for him.....

"I have a  Galtonia species/hybrid I originally grew from RHS seed some 15 years
ago . It is not G.viridiflora or G.princeps. Seed   was received as Galtonia princeps."

 Who can help?

I nly know the two greens mentioned and neither of mine has flowered yet so no help, sorry, but whatever, it's very nice. I like all green flowers.

Galtonia clavata and G. regalis both have green flowers - and with that nice "waist" to the flower- but their leaves are much broader.   Perhaps it is some kind of hybrid - Pretty thing, whatever.

Any more suggestions?
