Title: Seeds of cypripedium and seeds of epipactis
Post by: Corrado & Rina on December 19, 2014, 06:40:28 AM
Dear all,

Two questions about Cypripedium seeds / seed pods and of Epipactis:

1) At what stage do you sow? Mature, nearly mature, not mature?

2) Where do you get seed pods of the true type species, making sure they are actually not only the true type species but also not harvested from the wild? I am struggling to find suppliers .... for example, has any of you ever had any experience with this seller http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Cypripedium-dickinsonianum-Orange-Ladys-Slipper-Orchid-Seeds-FL108-/121367043641?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item1c420a1e39? Best

I assume that you are members of the Hardy Orchid Society?  They have members who have serious expertise in this field as well as being able to provide resources.
