Hi to all the scots on here Nollaig chridheil agus bliadhna mhath ùr, the welsh Nadolig llawen a blwyddyn newydd dda, the Cornish Nadelik Lowen ha Blydhen Nowydh Da, the manx Nollick Ghennal as Blein Vie Noa, the irish Nollaig shona Athbhliain faoi mhaise, to everyone else merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Great collection of dead languages, John, but you missed out Latin. ;D

I don't know latin, I was too young to take, still hear it at church though. As for them beeing dead languages hardly. Not spoken as much as they used to I admit, but not dead by a long stroke.

Amorphophallus konjac gave me an early, not entirely pleasant, Christmas gift this year.  What a shame I can't share its very special scent with you  :D

Great picture, Gunilla - it's not often I'm glad we have no scent button in the forum - poor Santa Claus- he looks faint.... hope he's okay for next week!

This is a great Christmas picture that I thought would be nice to share - outside the Natural History Museum in London yesterday (but the weather is still remarkably warm for late December)

A seasonal  message from North Berwick in Bloom  volunteers  and our friends in East Lothian  Council  ground care - our summer carpet bed  reworked  with some local  sand, a few bags of gravel and some evergreens from  the council nursery.

Glorious sunny day here; morning service at Canterbury Cathedral followed by a walk around the garden - so nice to have flowers on Christmas Day.
