hi
im also a pleione grower and have built up a little collection, i love to swap with people so would love to hear from anyone who wants to swap, dont mind swapping bulbils or whatever!
also i really liked the picture i have of P.shantung 'natasha' as it has white sepals but pink petals, is this noraml for this cultivar?
all the individual flowers on the picture are like this, unusual bi-coloured flowers.
does anyone have P.shantung 'david halberd'?
i love the apricot shading on this one
bye

Hi Rob,
I'm afraid I've potted mine up just last week - maybe we can have a look at swapping next season.
As to P. shantung Natasha - I saw that Pottertons have it on their latest list (website)
I don't grow 'David Harberd'

Hi Rob and all other Pleione nuts out there!
I have far too many Stromboli "Fireball" bulbils to deal with so if any of you would like some?!!

Hi Rob,
John Craven used to do Natasha as well. Not too sure if he's still knocking about as he wasn't at Harrogate last year.
He's based in Doncaster but I can't remember his nursery name.

John Craven has closed his nursery although you should still come across him at the odd AGS show displaying his magnificent Pleione.

Hi Rob,
I'm not aware of anyone naming a Shantung 'David Harberd' (my Dad!) But he did name one 'Muriel Harberd' (My mum). 'Muriel Harberd', 'Natasha' & 'Ducat' all came out of the same seed pod. I've pretty well run down my stock of 'Muriel Harberd' in favour of Shepherd's Warning 'Mary B' (one of my sisters!!) Tho' dad prefered Shepherd's Warning 'Gillian Clare' (my other sister).
