Yes

I bought some orchid seed from them and was more than happy with the quality of the seed.

If you make a search of the forum ( from the "search " button , 4th from  the left at the top of nay forum page)  for Chileflora you will find that this company has been mentioned quite often. Some reports suggest only  twoo seeds germinated and some that they have been satisfied with results - http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=11265.msg290656#msg290656 (http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=11265.msg290656#msg290656)

I suggest that  reading  through the  30 results may be of interest.

I can report that for bulb seeds (and Alstroemeria) I have had superb germination and that the packets are quite generous too.

I've recently repotted (from this source last year): Rhodophiala bagnoldii, Zephyra elegans, Zephyra compacta, Gillieisia montana,, 2 species of Leucocoryne and two species of Alstroemeria. All look good little bulbs/tubers.

I also had good germination of several rosulate Viola (with the help of gibberellic acid). Their failure to thrive afterwards can't be blamed on the seed....

Other types of plants (some alpines and Anemone moorei for instance) didn't give such good results as the bulbs.

I am after the bulbs - so after Darrens comment I give them a try!

Pauli - Best to state your wishes re: substitutions as you may well get something as a sub that is unsuited to your climate or needs.  Otherwise the seeds arrived in a week which was surprising.

johnw - Hurricane Christobel passing to our south, UK bound no doubt and we need the rain......

Herbert - if you want the lovely Zephyra elegans please note it is (for some reason) not 'tagged' as a bulb so does not appear in the 'bulbous plants' category. If you search for it separately it is listed and currently available.

Can I just add that I've bought a number of seeds from Mikhail at chileflora.com in recent years and have been very pleased with them

Has anyone had problems with Chileflora recently? I ordered seeds in August and paid by PayPal. Nothing arrived and my emails were unanswered. I raised a dispute with PayPal which escalated to a claim, and they have now found in my favour and refunded the money. Are they still in business?

I haven't notice any update of their seedlist for at least 1,5 year. Last discount was 2 years ago. I also wondered if he was still in business

Just seen on Facebook that Michail has stopped collecting and selling seeds and moved onto other ventures.

This sounds right, I had a difficult experience getting seed from Mikhail in 2014 - included not getting some I had paid for despite repeated efforts including Skype calls, etc.

Unfortunate as there doesn't seem to be a good alternative for South American species.
