Title: Collecting Paeonia in the Caucasus?

A friend of mine is going to visit Georgia-Tiblisi area, and I asked him to take some wild Paeonia daurica seeds if he sees them. Is it allowed? It is no commercial harvest but only some seeds for my collection.

You ask the unanswerable question, Hans.  ;D

The righteous, the pedants, the perfectionists and the rule makers will say an emphatic; "No!"
Many of the alpine gardeners of my acquaintance might err on the side of: "If it's only a few, then what the heck?"
Legally, it's probably; "No!"  Morally, it's less clear cut.
I suspect the majority of us have carried seeds into (and out of) the country and many will have posted seeds around the globe - commercial operations could certainly be more of a problem.

Thanks Cliff, that was put very political, but I agree. BTW I never feel comfortable when collecting wild seeds, while it should be normal that in this world at least some people still care for wild plants and enjoy their beauty growing them...
