Title: Crocus in Southern Hemisphere August 2014

Just a promise of things to come - if there is some sun on the weekend!
Crocus imperati
Crocus ancyrensis

both from Marcus Harvey this summer; C. x jessopiae got dug up and eaten by the cockatoos! >:(

Missed the C. imperati but managed to get a pic of Crocus ancyrensis (x 2 pics)
Early yesterday I got a pic of a little clump of Crocus etruscus in bud and later got it when the sun was behind it,

Well camouflaged amongst the fallen Mexican Thorn fruit,

Crataegus mexicana - I should've said "Mexican Hawtorn"
