Title: Cyclamen purpurascens
Post by: Lori S. on July 16, 2014, 05:26:00 PM
The winter of 2013-2014 was disastrous, somehow (what is this myth about snow cover being good?!?), and I lost my 10 year old Cyclamen purpurascens... arrrghhh!  I would love to make a trade for some seed, and see if I can get some going again (and hope for a return to normal, cold, dry winters).  I'll make an effort to post some pics in the other threads of what I am growing, and if someone would like to trade seeds, I'd be most happy!  Thanks in advance.

Hi lori I grow c. Purpuracens, I would be happy to trade. I grow ordinary purpuracens and the one with the Xmas patten on the leaves. Let me know which one you would like and what you have to trade. John

I have only just started collecting seeds, as the season here starts late and is brief (compared to the UK) and seeds for many plants won't be ready for a long time yet, so it may be better to let me know if you are interested in seeds from something I grow - I've posted photos in the June and July "What's blooming now in the Northern Hemisphere" threads.  Are you generally interested in alpines or more in border plants?

And I suppose we could carry on this conversation via PM's, rather than bore everyone else with it.  :)

My plants have some seed which should be ripe fairly soon.

Thank you, Gene, for the kind offer.  Please let me know what I can send you in exchange, from my postings of what I'm growing.
