Title: Ramonda serbica & Silene hookerii confirmation
Post by: Mark Griffiths on July 09, 2014, 05:19:38 PM
hi, I have 2 plants from AGS seed I'd like to get confirmations on - particularly the Silene because I have seed. I was thinking it might be better labelled S. hookerii group or even ingramii. The stem is sprawling, about 7 inches with bristles on the greenish leaves.

I could well be wrong, of course but they look right to me Mark. The Silene flower is right though the foliage is a bit hard to tell and the Ramonda looks OK. I think serbica has quite glossy foliage.

thanks Lesley! I'm really quite please with the Ramonda, it's the first Gesneriad I've grown from seed and it's quite an encouraging start.
