Title: Lack of Narcissus fly adults this year
Post by: mark smyth on June 22, 2014, 08:23:02 PM
Perfect weather for the Narcissus fly yet I have only seen and killed 5 males.

I learnt there is another bumble bee mimicking hoverfly which shouldn't be killed. Volucella bombylans very distinctive

I had never heard of it until Friday and by coincidence there was one in the garden later that day
