Title: ID please for two dried plants
Post by: JPB on June 02, 2014, 06:12:27 PM
The 14 year old son of a friend has made a herbarium for school but after drying he has no clue of what he has collected ;D

These should be common road verge plants of the SW of the Netherlands but I can't make anything of it.

Can someone help him out?

first photo is most likely some garden form of Aquilegia, second looks like Silene dioica to me.

Yes, Silene dioica. And some kind of Aquilegia is quite possible, as ther are lots of gardens in the neighborhood.
Anyway, I send your suggestions to te boy. Thanks a lot!
