Title: Memory failure again
Post by: shelagh on May 28, 2014, 01:27:06 PM
Brian has been cutting back some of our more rumbustious rock plants and two gems appeared.  The first Incarvillea delavayi (one of my more succesful buys, 2 bulbs for 87p at Lidl) I recognised immediately but the second ::) Memory failure or file not found flashed before my eyes can anyone help.

When I see a neat green bun and  stalked yellow flowers -  I think "draba" - but which?
Draba cappadocica ?  maybe D. incerta  but not, I think a  D. bryoides  ???

Well, it seems you are right, Ralph- which makes me wrong again!

If it is Erysimum kotschyanum - does that mean it smells nice?

Mines so close to the path I've never checked... Maybe I'll pick one and check when it stops raining.. It's been tipping it down here all day...

Thanks again to this wonderful resource and the people who make it work so well.  I have checked out the Erysimum k pictures and been out and checked it again with the foliage and thank you very much.  It is now labelled and hopefully it won't have to languish under thuggish competition again. :-*

Come on John I'm sure things must get away from you in the garden from time to time.  It's been so wet and (only recently and not very often) warm that plants are growing in front of your eyes.  Plus we have 400 pots of show plants to look after as well ::)
