Today the Aberdeen group held its second display at the Duthie Park in Aberdeen. This year there was a small competitive show, as well as a non-competitive display. It is hoped that in future years the Aberdeen SRGC Show may be reborn in this venue.

I was not able to attend - hope we do hear more about the day.
See here : http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=10510.0 (http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=10510.0) for  news of the event last year.

Hi Maggi

Sorry that you couldn't make it and off course I had to eat your chocolate cakes, no point wasting it  ::) ;D. I never took my camera but hopefully we will get to see some pictures soon. It was a lovely day and so nice to catch up with everyone. The Winter gardens was looking really good and off course our wee selection of plants added something different. We had people knocking at the door at 10.30 even though the doors didn't open till 11am. Hopefully everyone had a fun time.
Hope to see you soon.

Angela  :)

I'd better get round to posting some pics before it's too long ago to be of interest.

Three entries in one pan class
Mike's Lewisias columbiana wallowensis and (I think) 'John's Special'
 Helen's Trillium
Three entries in 2 pan class
 My Dianthus 'Conway Star'

Last few from the competitive show.  I seem to have missed out some of the classes in section two
The foliage class
Angie's Pinus leucodermis 'Pigmy'
Lesley's Paris quadrifolia
A closer look at Mike's Lewisia 'John's Special
My Haberlea ferdinandi-coburgii 'Connie Davidson'.  It always flowers well but I don't look after it well enough to keep the foliage looking good.
