A photograph taken by Kristl Walek at the Annapolis Royal Rare Plant Sale of a forum member in action at the sale.
Unfortunately, my visits to the forum here have become quite rare as I have become busy with a garden society here in Ireland and with its website and Facebook page.
Kristl posted this photo on Facebook; I commented and she asked that I post it here.

And here is one of Kristl

Kristl also says "Hello" to everybody.
-
thank you, Paddy.
its been so many years since i was last active here.
MISS YOU.
after my dramatic move from ontario to nova scotia 5 years ago, i am now turning right around and moving back as soon as my house here sells. anyone interested in a fabulous little piece of heaven here in the picturesque, historic town of Annapolis Royal?

Kristl,
Nice to have you back.
-
Nice to see two Forum members in action. Glad you've not gone to seed Kristl. ;)
-
Paddy - Are you trying to crash the site with my pic? I envision smoke rolling off poor Maggi's keyboard.
The weather at the sale was beastly, more like Halifax weather than the Valley's but everyone seemed satisfied. It was great to see old friends again and thankfully we were undercover. The rain started just as the closing bell rang.
A few other debuts then as all awaited the start bell:
1. Martin left & Gordon Tingley right (forumist) of Sledding Hill Nursery
2. Jane Blackburn of Woodlands & Meadows, selling lovely semps and Opuntias and Echinocereus yesterday.
3. Jane's semps, Kristl's helper in the background
4. Bob Howard masquerading as traffic & Glaucidium crowd control, background 2 booths of Bunchberry Nursery - with Jill missing; Nina Newington of The Tangled Garden (barely visible under leaning sign in the booth to the right, finally Ouest-Ville Perennials' owner Alice d'Entremont in yellow raingear ducking under the table.
5. Baldwin Nursery far right with Jodi manning for Rob, tree peonies, sikkokianums & griffithianums galore.
-
Continuing:
1. our booth and the start of the early early birds, apologies to Iann of Fernwood Nursery in the booth next to us but the picture was blurry.
2. Brair Patch Nursery in the distant, Lee second from left and a rare glimpse of habitual forum-lurker & our helper Donna Evers 5 from left and no doubt checking sprinting distances from our booth to the best plants elsewhere. I wonder how many nurseries she hit on the way home?
To protect the innocent no shots were taken in the Pub following the sale, a big run on Guiness sales was however noted.

Sounds like a very sensible person to me ;D
