Title: Otto's mystery plant
Post by: fermi de Sousa on April 26, 2014, 12:37:11 PM
I visited Otto this afternoon and he showed me this potted plant which he rescued from a friend's glasshouse where it was "going backwards".
He's managed to revive it and it looks like it might flower soon - but what is it?? Some kind of Chinese gesneriad?
Any suggestions?
cheers
fermi

Looks like a Chirita to me, maybe C. sinensis (there are several forms).

Thank you Thomas for putting a name onmy mystery plant. There seems to be a lot of variation in the leaves of Chirita chinensis .
