Post by: Maggi Young on April 13, 2014, 02:02:30 PM
The Orchid and Botanical Art Show  has just been held at  Vincent Square  - see Alex'  comment on his purchases elsewhere -
there was some important  award activity there , too -  this from the twitter page (https://twitter.com/jimgardiner108) of Jim Gardiner, executive vice president of the RHS :

Thank you, Maren - I guessed as much but I have not had the pleasure to meet the lady so was not sure.

Congratulations to Ian, very much deserved with all his work with pleiones. A very nice man as well. I had the pleasure of meeting him at Malvern last year for the first time and bought some lovely varieties from him back in the winter.

I've tried to persuade him to hang up his award certificate in his greenhouse, but he is a little shy. ;) ;)
