Title: RHS award to Ian Butterfield
Post by: Maggi Young on April 13, 2014, 02:02:30 PM: The Orchid and Botanical Art Show has just been held at Vincent Square - see Alex' comment on his purchases elsewhere -
there was some important award activity there , too - this from the twitter page (https://twitter.com/jimgardiner108) of Jim Gardiner, executive vice president of the RHS :

Post by: Richard Williams on April 14, 2014, 09:25:46 PM: Congratulations to Ian, very much deserved with all his work with pleiones. A very nice man as well. I had the pleasure of meeting him at Malvern last year for the first time and bought some lovely varieties from him back in the winter.
