At the RHS Botanical Art Show in London, the winner of best in show is Isik Güner (http://www.isikguner.com/) with her watercolour of Gunnera tinctoria, "inspired by Chilean flora".
Isik is familiar to us both for her artwork and also as the daughter of the Prof. Adil Güner of theNezahat Gökyigit Memorial Park, Istanbul, Turkey. (http://www.bgci.org/worldwide/article/147/Nezahat Gökyiğit)
Isik has done quite a bit of work at RBGE and she has won several Botanical Art Scotia medals
How marvelous that this very talented artist has won this RHS award too.

Her award (https://twitter.com/The_RHS/status/454962991654780928/photo/1)was for a painting of Gunnera tinctoria
Her fellow Turkish artists have exhibited their paintings of Chilean plants (http://chileanplants.rbge.org.uk/en/index.php/artists/) with success in Scotland too.
