Title: Hepatica seedlings
Post by: Palustris on April 01, 2014, 02:02:38 PM
For the first time in many many years I have managed to get some germination of these things. It is so long since I have managed this that I have forgotten what to do next. Any advice?
TIA

Leave them in a shady place in their seed pots.  An occasional dilute liquid feed every couple of months until the autumn.  They will seem to do nothing for a full year, i.e. they will still have just two cotyledons and a true leaf a full year after germination.  Only a year after germination will they then make some more leaves.  They may need repotting at that stage if they are crowded.
