I'm sure Anthony or someone else has already posted pics of Acis autumnalis but our first ones only appeared this week,

Mine has been flowering since mid-January in a four inch pot and is still producing flowering spikes. The same plant was blooming on 15-3-13 for the first time.

Lovely...

Acis nicaeense grown from seed (sown September 2009) kindly sent to me by Mick McLoughlin, who seems to have been very quiet this year so far!?
-
I've been missing Mick's input too - hope he and Mandy are still exhibiting - their mini-gardens were giving Johnny and Clare a run for their money, last time I saw !
I hope they are both well ? :-\

Already posted in the Southern Hemisphere thread - Acis tingitana in the rock garden,

Hi I have just received three bulbs of acis autumnale var pulchellus, can anyone tell me if they are hardy in the uk please. Thanks john
-
Lucky you!
A hot spot in a well drained area - perhaps a raised bed - should make a good home for them.
-
Are they rare Maggi?, they were part of my order along with three species of galanthus to add to my collection & some other gems from Rannveig at Buried Treasure. I had a talk with her on the phone, lovely women.
-
I don't think they are particularly rare, just very nice. :D
-
I'll get them planted in the morning thanks for the advice Maggi.

Acis ionica
,first time I have managed to flower it and think it must be the few warm weeks we had.
-
I like that Acis ionica, Tony!
In our Rock Garden Acis trichophylla is flowering and tending to be pinker than they were in Tassie with Marcus!
cheers
