Title: Which saxifrage?
Post by: Lori S. on March 09, 2014, 09:42:40 PM
Hi,
I saw this beautiful Saxifraga during a garden visit to the fabulous Lowry garden in Washington state, on the occasion of the NARGS 2012 annual meeting (held in Everett, Washington).  I thought it might be S. stribrnyi... ?  Can you tell me what it is, please?
Thanks in advance.

Or S. federici-augusti?   Or S. sempervivoides (although I don't think the plant looks right for this one)?

Perhaps federici-augusti or a hybrid from it. Definitely not stribrny which has a branched inflorescence!
