Found a couple of new bulbs grown from seed flowering for the first time today. The first was from my own seed and the C alatavicus seed was from JJA sown in 2008. I find this species slow

No Anne Primrose Warburg. Quite a surprise really the others are straight plicatus

Thanks John and yes the ovary is as egg yolk yellow as I have seen. I will see what it is like next year

Two new flowers today - both from the NARGS Seedex;
First one is Crocus asumaniae sown in June 2008, first seedling 6-09-2008;seed donated by Jane McGary;
The second is Colchicum diampolis sown in February 2004; first seedling 3-09-2005; seed donated by Tony Rymer; I presume the flower willexpand a bit as it matures,
