Post by: mark smyth on February 16, 2014, 05:55:32 PM
This plant is growing on an island on Lough Neagh. The photo was taken today. Are these Aconitum leaves?

Silence reigns......  :D

Keep looking at these and still not sure - they do look like Aconitums - those little leaves are very finely cut  to be much else that green.....    I don't know!

I think it's an Aconitum too.  It's further on than mine - must be in a warm spot.

Aconitum napellus seems to be recorded as a naturalized species from Lough Neagh http://www.bnfc.org.uk/New_Site_BNFC/Rams_Island_Botany.html (http://www.bnfc.org.uk/New_Site_BNFC/Rams_Island_Botany.html)
