It was an impulse buy and now I can't seem to find much info on how to grow it in a pot, (as always..) does anyone have any advice??It does't seem to agree w/the baggie it came in, it looks too wet!

I would think it would be quite happy outside with you in Greece - but if you want to keep it in a pot then don't leave it somewhere it will be fried alive in the heat.
In the ground or in a pot it will prefer a "lean" soil - that is to say, one with not too many nutrients - so no extra food. In nature I believe it prefers poor stony soils.

I should have said that it is almost certainly too wet at the moment, by your description.
Good idea to take cuttings each year and look for seed, too, since a lot of these pretty little Dianthus are a bit short- lived.

Happy to report that after looking really sad and shriveled to the point I almost tossed it, now I see new leaves all over!
