Title: Lost label artemisia
Post by: johnralphcarpenter on October 06, 2013, 10:41:54 AM
Can anyone identify this lost label Artemisia? A lax sub-shrub with pungent foliage, it is flowering now, but only flowers in a long hot summer.

It does resemble that, but I have looked back at my record of plants purchased from Pepiniere Filippi in 2004/5, when I would have planted it, and I didn't buy that species. So, it is one of the following: Artemisia afra, A. canariensis, A. cretacea, A. filifolia, A. frigida, A. glacialis, A. lanata, A. pontica, A. stelleriana, and A. vallesiaca!

I sent a sample to the National Collection holder, Dr John Twibell, and he has identified it as A. alba 'Camphorata'
