Title: Podophyllum hexandrum
Post by: shelagh on September 29, 2013, 10:01:23 AM: Found a wonderful bright red pod of seed on a Podophyllum at the late Mavis Allanson's garden yeaterday. I think it was P. hexandra so I've checked out the net for instructions as I've never had this seed before. One article for P. said turtle ingested seed grew better, a bit problematic in suburban Bury ;D. The 'Stupid Gardener' suggestested covering seed in nearly boiling water for 2 minutes then covering the seed with sulfur before sowing. Has anyone any other methods I ought to consider befor the turtle hunt ::)
