Some views and plants portraits from our Russian trip into the Stavropol District, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachaievo-Cherkessia Republics.

Kabardino-Balkaria Republic

There we found some native views usual for Caucasus, fossilized ammonites, and a locus of quiet distinct snowdrop plants of all known Galanthus species in one forest))

Stunning to see the great Crocus scharojanii in his natural habitat . Thanks for sharing this pictures .

I could not agree more I also enjoy seeing Crocus vallicola and Colchicum speciosum in habitat - both are just  coming to flowering our garden.

Beautiful views and other interesting plants almost takes to the mountains.

Dima, thank you very much for 'taking' us to Caucasus. You have caught some fantastic views with your camera, not to mention the lovely crocus. Right now I am sitting here drooling over the C. scharojanii pics, wishing I was there.....

Dmitri thanks for sharing your trip a beautiful place. The C scharojanii are wonderful and seemingly in such good numbers

Dimitri thank you for showing these stunning photos. I especially like to see and try to grow rose species. thanks for posting the photo of Rosa gallica.

Kris, many thanks! I've done it - please, enjoy these plants with names. And I put here some new alpine plants from Caucasus.

Thanks, Ian!! Nice to here there is one more Caucasian habitat for these fall-blooming bulbs now in Aberdeen))))) Let them now naturalize with you!!
