This bulb came out of a pot with Narcissus bulbocodium seeds from El Espinar, Segovia (collected by Rafa). It looks like a Fritillaria but it has a brown sheet and a strange curving lower margin.
Can anyone ID this one?

It's a Colchicum, Hans.
It may not have come in with the narcissus seed of course- Rafa would likely know the difference.

I'd vote for Colchicum as well. Has the little foot on it.

Hey Arnold, welcome to you! Having a good time? Getting north of the border?

I vote too for Colchicum but maybe it is Merendera

Hope you get some football in Arnold. You won't get that north of the border though ;D

Had a great time drank something new to me H.P. Bulmers. Very nice drink. Guy we sat next to from Cumbria insisted I give it a try.
Did the pub thing twice and a real old one in Maida Vale and one near Cromwell Road.
The wife and daughter kept me too busy to catch any football

sorry for delay replying, I was in France. Yes, It is Merendera montana, I hadn't time to clean the seeds ::) ;)

Thanks, Hans,
no harm as it's on our "allowed" list ;D
I look forward to it flowering!
cheers
