Hope they have a Tardis to cover all that ground in one day, or is it a case of 'Beam me up Scottie'.
-
Would have loved to have attended Ian but, as you say, it is a long way.
-
I would attend but late notice ruins the chances of cheap airfares

What a good day with lots of interest.it brought back good memories of places I had been and the plants seen there Five excellent talks and I got to meet Ian as well.
A possible interesting aside was that two of the speakers were splitters and if it had one more hair on its leaf would give it a new name.(on their basis there were 200 sub species of the human race in the room) Two others were lumpers and of 'they all seem to look the same persuasion. '

I agree Tony a great day to remember almost as good as being there and at lower cost All lectures were excellent with wall to wall plants, super photography and no real overlaps.
PS For anyone interested I believe there are still a couple of places left on the AGS tour to Turkey led by Bob and Rannveig Wallis scheduled in 3 weeks

WOT, Ian, no pix??
-
Sorry Maggi didn't even take the camera was and too busy yacking between talks - excellent turnout must have been around 120 people in attendance.
-
it was not a photographic event, any taken would have only shown a motley selection of mostly decrepit AGS members and as my wife noted with no dress sense in pre war outfits.
I agree Ian the pictures on the screen were superb and left me feeling quite inadequate.Just to pick out one good talk from five good ones is a little unfair but Jim Archibald who I have heard many times is amazing as a speaker.

Of course.... what fun it would have been to see just that! ::) People love people.... photos with people in them attract more attention on the forum than even the most rare and lovely flowers!
