Hi
I got some seed from the seedex that I thought to be papaver orientalis 'Patty's Plum'. And the color is there and it is quite big, but the leaves aren't right and it has several buds up the stem. Is it a papaver somniferum perhaps? Can somebody help me please?

Yes, Papaver somniferum - with a very pretty colour.

Thank you Maggi :) yes I love the colour!

That's a beautiful shade for P. somniferum. :)

Yes, it is a lovely colour. I try to let the dark P. somnifera self seed on my allotment but after a few years they revert to the pale lilac. So I restock with dark flower seed from Derry Watkins
