Title: The bog of Dahlem/Eifel
Post by: Gerdk on July 10, 2013, 11:11:36 AM
A few days ago I visited the 'Moorpfad' Dahlem near the German-Belgian border. There is a lot
of the typical moor vegetation and a large number of orchids.
Apparently there is a lack of maintenance which is resulting in increasing scrub encroachment of
parts of the area. Nevertheless it was an interesting visit during a bright shiny day.

pics 1 - 3. Dactylorhiza species - fuchsii ???
       4 + 5 Drosera rotundifolia

Gerd,
an interesting place with a special flora.
Have you found Viola palustris, too? :)

Armin,
Thank you, yes it was very special indeed.
