Title: SRGC members hold summer open day at Lamberton 31/08/13
Post by: Maggi Young on June 28, 2013, 04:43:31 PM
Some famous SRGC folks are  holding a great open day in August:

Ron & Susan McBeath will be holding their annual Open Garden event on Saturday 31st August -  9am to 4pm  at their home in Lamberton.

No.3 Lamberton, Berwickshire ,TD15 1XB Scotland
Lamberton is only one hour from Edinburgh and only a little more from Newcastle upon Tyne. The nursery is in the very south east corner of Scotland, close to the A1. If travelling south on the A1 take the second exit for Lamberton which is on the dual carriageway, cross the road bridge and the nursery is up the narrow road almost dead ahead. If travelling north follow the signs for Lamberton immediately after entering Scotland.

On Saturday 31st August, as well as the Open Garden, there will be two Nurseries attending, both owned by SRGC members:
Pottertons (http://www.pottertons.co.uk/pott/index.php) and Macplants (http://www.macplants.co.uk/home.asp) with many plants and bulbs for sale, from 9am to 4pm. Prior Orders may be collected at the event.

As if more entertainment were needed,   at 2pm at the Village Hall (http://onlineborders.org.uk/community/bfvh/lamberton-village-hall), Rob Potterton will give a lecture , "A Labour of Love - 40 years at Pottertons Nursery".

ALL welcome. Refreshments served.
