I don't remember where I got the seeds from, after a very long time in a baggie I dumped the vermiculite into a pot with some geranium seeds.
I did stick a tag with viola pleti in with it, only have the one plant but I walked into the greenhouse a few days ago and could not believe the wonderful scent wafting around.
Would appreaciate it if someone could ID this viola for me and perhaps give me some information.
Sorry the pics aren't as good as they could be, I have done something to my auto focus and will need to reset to factory settings.

Hello Helen, I don't think anything by the name Viola pleti exists (such a name is not published), might this be a name/spelling corruption for V. flettii? Unfortunately I don't think your plant is V. flettii, the Olympic Violet.

I think you are right, I looked back at some of my orders from seed exchanges and found V. fletti from AGS in 2011.
It must have crossed with something in the donor's garden and can say I am very happy it did.
It has the most wonderful scent.
Must learn to write more clearly, very bad when you can't read your own handwriting :-[

Sorry for answering so late! But Marks reply saves me a lot of additional search. I couldn't find any
violet species with ' pleti ' also.
But seeds of Viola flettii ( and not only from AGS) which turned out to be another species seems to be the rule.
I guess your resulting plant might be one of the Japanese violets of the Adnate section -
nevertheless a pretty one.
