Title: Lysichiton identification
Post by: johnw on April 30, 2013, 10:04:59 PM
I bet that topic has never appeared before.

Here is what I suspect might be a volunteer hybrid between L. camtschatcense x americanum in my Lysichiton bog.  No pollen raises the alarm bells but I have not seen the hybrid live and can't find my recent Plantsman that discussed the very subject.

I'll be delighted if it is.

I have see a few and I believe the Gothenburg Botanical garden has them. This hybrid is nicely intermediate.

I wonder if someone collecting Lysichiton seed might take a picture of the seeds in its slimey goop and post it.  Trond?
