This year is the 25th anniversary of the Mid-Anglia AGS bulb sale. First held at Rod and Jane Leeds home, Chestnuts, Whelp Street, Sudbury CO10 9NL, it will be there again on Sunday 18th August 2013 from 2-4pm.

Is that the sale that was in Cavendish last year? I enjoyed that and it did not seem to matter that I was not an AGS member.
-
Yes Alan, it moves around. An excellent day and some great bargains to be had...such good sellers ;D

Nice bit of subtlety there - I think we can safely infer from this question that Mr L. Scheldeman will be hopping the Channel to attend the sale with some of his super bulbs! ;)

I do hope so, along with members such as Rod Leeds, Wol and Sue Staines etc etc

Not long to go now before this 25th Anniversary Sale - bulbs being readied as we speak, I'm sure -
wish I could be there.

Both Luc's will be there, of course 8)
I'm convinced we bring an excellent selection this year with a focus on oncocyclus

Oh, how lucky those visitors to the sale will be! :)

I'm not going this year. No more early flights on a Sunday - bad Easyjet. I would have had to arrive today and spend loads at Beeches ;D

Sorry Brian !

Sorry Brian !
Not at all Luc, I was extremely pleased with my purchases. I had resolved not to take too much money as I knew I would probably spend whatever amount I took!

The auction was, as always, superb. Wonderful lots for sale including Erythronium 'Rosalind' and Galanthus 'Elizabeth Harrison', 'Creme Anglaise' and 'Glenorma' to name but three. Someone got an absolute bargain cold frame, one of Norman's super slate troughs and a signed copy of a Kit Grey-Wilson book as well as other lots. A lot of forum 'lurkers' were in attendance as well as forumists many of whom we didn't get time to speak to. It was indeed a lovely day David although we were hoping it was chucking it down at home to get some water in the barrels! - it wasn't. There weren't many people walking back to their cars empty handed so hopefully the vendors had a good day too. Thanks to Rod and Jane for hosting the occasion in their lovely garden.
-
For a man spending (someone's!) last tenner, Brian, you look to be having a grand time. How lovely to see all those happy people on such a lovely summer's day.
-
A few more of people and a couple just to show I did look at the garden!
1. Listening to the auction, Cliff Curtis. Rosie Ward from Norfolk walking away. Must have had enough.
2. Chris Grey Wilson on the far right.
3. Part of the garden
4. More garden

Good friends, good weather and excellent plants. What more could you wish for :) ;) :)
The garden was looking spectacular. Took my camera, but unfortunately left it in the car. As parking was a long way away uphill, I decide to rely on others and David came up trumps as usual.

So no Brinks truck idling behind the hedge eh?
