Title: Newbie
Post by: Peter Korn, Sweden on November 30, 2007, 05:42:03 PM
I just wonder how long I will be a Newbie? What are the rules? I really likes cakes and I wish I could be something like Lesleys "Cake Maker in Chief" or at lest "Cake Eater in Chief". What do I have to do for/with you Maggie to deserve that?

Peter,
You're a newbie until you've contributed a certain number of messages...it happens allllllll by itself, so don't worry about that.

As for the cute little nicknames...I think that IS Maggi's doing...and you needn't worry about that either. She'll get to you. No one (that I'm aware of) asks for them...they're just gifted to us!

Peter,

I think you have to be 50 to no longer be a newbie..... but that is postings not age so you don't have a lot of years to wait as you would have otherwise.  ;D

I've always assumed that it is Maggi's doing re the naming, and wonder if our naming gets updated from time to time when we do something memorable.  I guess to get the REALLY good ones we have be obsessed with cake or chocolate.... or at least vocal about the same.  Some of us ARE obsessed about cake and chocolate but are a little more demure in our professions of undying love for them!!!! (and unfortunately allergies to milk can mess up enjoyment of too much of them!!  ::))

The very thought was too much for me and I've been lying down in a darkened room  :D

You just have to keep an eye out to see what might happen.......

Well Maggi, I felt a bit jealous that you were the only one being given such a fascinating open-ended offer  ;)

AND in my own hopes of someday being granted a super special moniker, I hereby officially and empthatically announce my undying LOVE for chocolate.

Well, in the outside world, he's a superhero who wears his knickers over his tights but I presume you mean,  in THIS world..........

Thanks Maggi for the very flattering nickname.
What do you think of my new outfit? The Gardenman!
And I have passed the 50 post so I´m not a Newbie anymore.
I think I have to celebrate with a bottle of wine tonight.

That's not manipulation Mark, that's Peter's natural self. Peter, I'm very pleased to see this picture as the one to the left, and allowing for my aging eyesight, gave me the impression that you have extremely short legs. Now I see that they are just partially submerged.
