What is the correct way to pronounce this Hamamelis' name? I am guessing that it is not jell (as in jelly) EEEna.
The RHS says:
It was named in 1954 by Robert de Belder after his wife - the de Belder family of Belgium are responsible for many Hamamelis cultivars.
Can one of our Belgian friends put me right?

"yaylaynaah"

it's a name from The Netherlands, we would pronounce it a little bit different in Flanders (never heard that name over here though)...John from The Netherlands says Yaylaynaah we would say Yalaynaah

In some parts in The Netherlands the pronounciation is like your's Wim. So even in a relatively small area you'll get differences ;D.
Wasn't Jelena de Belder-Kovacic originally from Zagreb? We must ask some Croatian members how to pronounce her name correctly ;)

Yeah, I know...loads of dialects in the small Dutch-speaking areas...actually I would be interested to hear how a Croatian would pronounce her name! :)
