-
some nice work
-
more
-
But where are the work-of-art knitted hats?
-
last pic does have Mum in the back ground , we might sell hats there next year ;D I have volunteered to give them a hand in setting up a collection of named snowdrops in the Abbey grounds
-
What a brilliant idea, and some lovely entries, particularly the hareball! Thanks for sharing it all with us Emma, I bet Joe wishes he had thought of that for the Gala!
-
Hare Ball was for sale at £590 , it hadnt sold as of yesterday ! It was my favourite.
-
Is it wood? I liked it too. And the snowdrop jewellery. Probably a good job Joe doesn't know about it, he'd probably be obliged to but the lot for his collection.
-
It was made of clay . I think Joe might have bought the lot !
-
What a fantastic show!
So many questions..... is the hareball made of? wood? Oops, didn't see the reply that is is clay .
( Mentioned "hareball" to Ian and next door's cat, who happened to be passing, coughed and fainted when I said what size the "hairball" is!!!!! )
What are the "pots" of 'drops and those in the driftwood made of? Who made 'em? Where do they sell them?
-
The snowdrops in the drift wood were made of Cold porcelain, made by Christina Hunt , the small one was for sale at £20 , the biggest was £55
I will find the link for the arts centre

Hmm, well the pins are particularly pretty - but there s a lot there to tempt! :D

I love the two paintings of the snowdrops in the snow.
They would look great on my wall.

Reading out of context I have now ceased googling Galanthus 'Hare Ball'. ::)
-
Lol ;D We need to find a Galanthus and name it 'hare ball ' 8)
I think i picked up the card of the lady who made the silver jewellery , if anyone should want to know .
-
Fascinating event and I imagine it will be repeated in view of how many people visit snowdrop gardens - and especially if you have a display of varieties on Show. Tie it in with an early Alpine Show and you would really have the biscuit!
-
I am going to help them make a go of it . Im thinking of maybe a snowdrop theatre next year so people can see the drops up close (thats if they like the idea )
-
A snowdrop theatre is a great idea - can't see why the gallery wouldn't love that . Well done Emma!
-
Thanks for posting those Emma - they look fantastic :)

Hi There,
Is anyone else on the forum a fan of the Neocube? (A set of 216 magnetic spheres) Here is a model of a snowdrop!
Tim DH
-
I've not seen then - but most impressive Tim - how long did that take to put together?
-
Hi John,
It was a couple of hours, messing about in front of a roaring fire! If you search Youtube for “neocube 216“, you’ll see lots of examples of them being played with.
