Saxifraga 2023
« on: March 18, 2023, 08:47:35 PM »
Saxifraga Jan Neruda - This Czech hybrid is one of my favourites- easy, robust and always
free flowering. Easy cultivation under glass and in the open garden and relatively heat tolerant.

We have been sent some photos of hypertufa troughs, many containing saxifrages, taken by Bill Gordon in the 1970s :

These were made by  Ellie Brinckerhoff, who  is also remembered by a saxifraga named for her by Linc Foster in 1970 - Saxifraga ’Ellie Brinckerhoff’
 (S.x hornibrookii     HL Foster 1970)
This photo  of that saxifrage is by Jan Tholhuisjen  -
