Looking for various Nerine species ??
« on: March 15, 2023, 11:32:21 AM »
Good Day Group, I am looking for bulbs of Nerine gaberonensis, N.gibsonii, N.bowdenii ssp. wellsii and N.flexuosa (alba form)......in exchange, I can offer lesser known/more difficult species to get hold of, such as N.platypetala, N.rehmanii, N.gracilis, N.falcata, etc...
Many thanks,
Jaco Truter.

Diane,

It looks like Jaco was not expecting a reply.  If you have Nerine bulbs that you are willing to part with, I would like to purchase some.

I am in USDA zone 8b where temperatures almost never fall below 15F -9.4C.  Rainfall 50" 110 cm + but none  June-September.  We seldom get snow; but when it comes we get 30" overnight. Soil is sandy loam with a lot of humus.

Oh, Jaco has a lot of nerine species that I haven't yet heard of.

I was merely asking him where he lives so others would know whether they'd be able to trade with him.

I just found a post by Jaco in 2014.  He lives in South Africa.
