Title: Growing up cormlets
Post by: Geoforce on June 15, 2014, 02:42:21 PM
Need suggestions on how to best growup small (2-3 mm) cormlets.  Depth of planting, watering, etc.

Got a mix of about 50 this size or so from a friend.  All spring flowering I'm sure.

Thanks

Geo

I'm planting such cormlets in same way as full size corms. Depends how you are growing - in garden or in pots. I'm not more growing crocuses in garden to avoid rodent damage. I would place such cormlets on layer of coarse sand in pot and would cover with around 5-6 cm soil mix.  Do it now, don't wait autumn but keep till September dry and start watering at normal time.
