Beautiful Hans, another species I have never heard of before. I can't see it liking my climate though.

How many more treasures have we yet to see.
This one is very beautiful - did you grow it from seed? and how long to flower/

Hans,
Congratulations!! That's a genus I've lusted after for quite a while now myself. Tried it from seed unsuccessfully a few years ago. Every picture I've ever seen of them (including yours) is brilliant. One of those "small, but perfectly formed" type of plants, being fairly diminutive as far as I know but very nice when in flower. The foliage looks nice and lush too by the looks of your pics. Well done on flowering this little beauty, and thanks so much for sharing the photos!!

Hans,
I wouldn't count on it. He'd just collect the Griffinas AS WELL as the Crocus, not instead of!

Paul I think Hans was suggesting Ian might exchange crocus for emeralds, but I doubt it.

I was hoping for the emerald option, too, Lesley!! BD says no chance on emeralds and getting rid of crocus

Lesley,
I don't think that Hans was refering to the emeralds, much as Maggi would like that.
I definitely think he was saying Maggi should show the BD the Griffinia. I mean, there are priorities in life!! Mere Emeralds are just fleeting!!

That is a new plant to me too. Although I think it will be nothing for my garden, it's still very interesting to see. Thanks for posting.
