While i was visiting family and between two stone walls repairs, i took few hours to repay visit to sites i well know.

Bonifacio is a great botanical region, the calceorous plateau was well watered by the rains of the previous days (123mm in less than 48h)

You do get around, you lucky man!   Corsica is not a place that many report  from - I wonder why, it seems there is plenty to see.

Lovely pictures Yann, pity we're not fit enough to make the trip.

I guess it's because there few flights from UK/Scotland. From anywhere in France of course it's easy. From all the mediterreanean islands it's the richest in endemics and the number of eco-systems is quite impressive.

The playeau itself is very easy walking and don't need to be sporty. For the vallon indeed access need good physical conditions. Otherwise many species can be see'.from the roads sides

Thx for the hellebore photo, rarely see photos of hellebores growing in the wild these days. There now seems to be no active collectors of wild species seed. Maybe not a good business model to pursue.
