a Dianthus from Karpathos > Dianthus fruticosus

Hi all ,

by my visit on the island of Karpathos I found in the mountains these plants -knows anybody what this is ?
It must be rare -I saw only one this group of plants -they grows on calcy rocks in light shade

Hans it's very similar to alpinus and calazonus or their hybrid. I dont know where the species come from

Mark , yes your pics are similar .
But I shure that this plants are growing there natural .....please look the habitat :

It looks too big and tall to be either DD alpinus or callizonus. But the whitish plant with it looks interesting. Any ideas as to what that is?
