unknown bulbous plant
« on: May 15, 2021, 04:25:50 PM »
Looks like a big crocosmia or a watsonia meriana wild form but flowers end March
Not very frost hardy
Very vigorous where the soil retains some moisture in the summer
Was told it came from South Africa
Sorry no picture
Any suggestion?

The Crocosmia is hardy in some areas here in the Northern US.  Watsonia not so hardy.

Here's one I had.  bulbs were very large.  Three inches across. Took up too much valuable greenhouse space.
